Does the "Cloud cover" really help the Cricket ball to swing? (Biggest Cricket myth)
- You don't want to be a Cricket fan to read this post. This is about the biggest Cricket myth ever. I'll explain what "Swing" is for non-Cricket fans. Faster bowlers usually balls at speeds of 120kmh -150 kmh. While they bowl they change the path of the ball, so the ball will not come in the same track. Some bowlers swing the ball in both the directions making it really difficult to the batsmen.
Coffee helps to study long hours. Myth or Fact?
Who doesn't want to study longer hours? We all may need. So what's the drug we use? None other than a hot Coffee which contains Caffeine. Caffeine is a bitter xanthine alkaloid and psychoactive stimulant which helps us to study a whole night. It's a fact. Not a myth.
Have you experienced some supernatural events? Still think it isn't unreal?
Last day my friend phoned me and told me a long story about his supernatural experience. He had been Listening to his music enjoying his little nap on the bed. All of a sudden his "Movable-chair" had stared to move while rotating. He sweared me that the window was closed and he felt no natural force which could move the chair.
Hmm. So I began my investigation from my house itself. I completely sealed my room, brought my computer chair and waited a bit. Nothing happened. ( In case you laugh at me, the first step of an experiment is always a bit weird). Then I started to think of possible explanations I could come with up. First thing came to my mind was a "slope". I remembered the slope in our bathroom. So I kept it there and waited. Still no movement. Then I gave a very little spin to the chair and it did move. Then I phoned my friend and asked whether there was a slope. He came up with a negative reply.
But still I had some positives. I didn't need any super power to move the chair in bathroom. SUPER POWERS ARE NOT NEEDED. Then I came to my final conclusion.
It's the theory of "Conservation of momentum". Some how ( Ex: due to an untie of a nail or a sudden slip of a joint ) there was a little change of momentum in the Chair. But as we know the system tries to conserve the momentum. It causes the chair to move.
When you find some thing "Supernatural" don't just try to deposit it in Supernatural's account. Instead try some natural explanation. Then do some practicals to test your hypothesis.
Try this. If Newton banked the Gravitational phenomenon in Supernatural's account would we have sent Rockets? There's a reason behind everything, Some times we might find it difficult to explain it at once. But it;s not a ticket to bring in Man's age old friend "Supernatural"

Get off your hats, it causes baldness. Sick of this? It's a myth too.
If you are a cricket follower then you must have seen players getting bald in their mid thirty's. And the public blames the head-gears they wear. But I got some thing to say you. That's a big myth our society believes. Most of the times genes are responsible for the "Baldness".
But wait. If some body came up with a hair planting surgery then you must be careful and mostly it's better to avoid hats. But in other cases there's no point of blaming your innocent hats.

Villagers become victims of evil spirits.
Going a day long trip from Colombo you find "Moneragala" a district in Sri Lanka which has been considered as one of the poorest districts in the developing island. Once you leave the town area suddenly the rural areas open up and the population too decreases significantly. This story I bring out today happened ( still not over though ) in the area called "Kambukkana", situated in the above mentioned "Moneragala" district.
Locals in this remote area are believers of ghosts, dead souls, evil-creatures due to their long survived traditional believes. As one of the locals says one man has died recently and the "kattadiya" ( man who deals with demons) has done a trick and then the dead man has become an evil spirit. So this spirit has taken more than fifteen villagers ( Mainly women) in to it's control so the affected people always ask for blood, screaming frequently and etc. The whole Village has become a Kingdom of horror, but still their only hope the "Kattadiya" has failed to sent off the spirit from the village.
Recently few doctors has traveled to this area and had given some medicine to the affected villagers. One man responded to the doctor's reaction saying "How can a drug sent off an evil spirit? So we didn't use the drug. Instead we threw them out."
"Daya" was a very pleasant female person in this area who couldn't avoid the evil power. Every now and then she sweats and begins to scream in a loud voice that's very different to her own voice and asks for blood and flesh. Four well grown men are there to control her as she has gained some enormous power.
This is the perspective of the locals and don't come to a conclusion yet. "D.V.J.Harischandra , One of the prominent doctors in the island describes this whole drama as "Hysteria". As he points out there is no use of spending time and money for those Kattadiyas, they could have simple gone to a doctor and get quick treatments freely from a government hospital.
I brought this story not just say you about Kattadiyas. In all parts of the world despite of their economic status people tempt to believe in these Evil spirits mostly due to some of the experiences they face in their lives. At the first look, they might appear as some thing super-natural. But if you think little bit more then you'd see the truth.
